A podcast about how creativity and the arts can support and strengthen communities as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.

“This is an awesome addition to my podcast library ... social, cultural, economics...it’s got everything! Well done Scotia...this medium articulates your important work just brilliantly. I will certainly pass it on.”

— Listener review

THE BRIEF

Creative Recovery Network (CRN) is a not-for-profit organisation working to develop and embed the vital role of culture, creativity, and the arts in Australia’s disaster management systems.

In 2020, they engaged Audiocraft to help them, through a series of workshops, to develop a podcast to share stories from the communities they work with as well as educate listeners about the role creative practices can play in recovering from disaster.

WHAT WE DID

Audiocraft worked closely with the team at CRN to refine the podcast narrative and messaging. We then supported the research and planning for the podcast episodes, recorded interviews in the field and remotely, scripted, edited, sound designed and mixed.

Audiocraft have provided ongoing production support across the subsequent three seasons.
