Outside The Lines

A fun and immersive audio experience that encourages children to think about art, ideas, and to express themselves creatively.

“Whether children and families are visiting in person, or accessing QAGOMA digitally, we want them to be able to experience the imaginative world of art and what QAGOMA has to offer. Through Outside the Lines, kids can connect through the power of audio.”

— Tamsin Cull, QAGOMA

THE BRIEF

The Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art wanted to create a podcast series for children, so we partnered with Kinderling to helped develop Outside the Lines - a fun and imaginative podcast for kids all about ART!

The series features some art-curious kids as they travel across the country to scratch the surface, peek behind the canvas, open the sketchbook, and dive into the creative minds of some of Australia's most inspiring artists.

WHAT WE DID

Audiocraft worked with kids digital audio powerhouse Kinderling on this co-production for the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art’s Children’s Art Centre. The project was supported by the Neilson Foundation.

Audiocraft Producer Caitlin Gibson helped manage the production logistics, research and source talent, and edit and script each episode. The our Sound Engineer Camilla Hannan brought the finishing touches, ensuring a high quality podcast that was fun and engaging for its target audience - kids!
