“Audiocraft are a class act, the team worked closely with us to shape a new sound for Dora our new audio companion app. They understood what we wanted and delivered beautifully and on deadline.”

THE BRIEF

Dora is a site specific web app developed by the Art Gallery of NSW that gives visitors access to a mosaic of voices and music to listen to as they wander the expanded campus of the gallery.

Named after Dora Ohlfsen, one of the many artists in the Art Gallery’s collection, the platform allows you to find out more about the artworks in the collections, the landscape and architecture of the buildings, and hear from the creators and curators.

Think of it as an elevated audio guide experience.

WHAT WE DID

AGNSW came to Audiocraft in the lead up to the grand opening of their new Sydney Modern Project. To coincide with the opening, they wanted to launch a new way for visitors to experience the gallery via audio.

The Gallery had hundreds of individual audios in mind, to sit within dozens of site specific playlists. Audiocraft helped organise the production of these audios, including recording and logging interviews with artists and curators, cutting and mixing individual audios, and commissioning original music.
